SCMA has invited SEA of NC for an engaging and informative event designed to bring industry professionals together for a firsthand look at innovative manufacturing and installation practices. Attendees will experience a guided Manufacturing Plant Tour, followed by a CMU Hands on Installation Demonstration that highlights best practices, efficiencies, and real-world applications. They will also feature The Mule Lift Assist Demonstration, showcasing equipment that is transforming jobsite safety and productivity.
All attendees must register individually for both the Blockfest event and the post‑event Social Gathering thru the SCMA website. Registration is completed through the flyer/document attached to this email or the link at the bottom of this page. There is no cost to attend. Please be sure to follow the instructions provided in the attachment to secure your spot.
Because portions of the program take place inside an active manufacturing environment, PPE is required. This includes hard hats, safety glasses, high visibility vests, and closed‑toe shoes. Please plan accordingly to ensure a safe and compliant experience.
This event is open to members of AIA, SEA, CSI, and BEC of NC, and all participants will receive 3 AIA CEU/HSW credits along with certificates of completion. It’s a great opportunity to expand your technical knowledge, see new tools and methods in action, and connect with peers across the design and construction community.
A post‑event Happy Hour Social Networking gathering will take place from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Hickory Tavern, located just five minutes from the plant. This casual meetup will include drinks and appetizers, providing an easy, enjoyable atmosphere for continuing conversations and building relationships across the AIA, SEA, CSI, and BEC of NC communities.
It’s a great opportunity to strengthen professional connections, meet new colleagues, and share insights from the day’s demonstrations and tours. Whether you’re looking to network, collaborate, or simply enjoy good company, this social hour adds a fun and valuable close to the event.
